Amazon EC2 M5 Instances are the next generation of the Amazon EC2 General Purpose compute instances. M5 instances offer a balance of compute, memory, and networking resources for a broad range of workloads.
Based on Custom Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8175M series processors running at 2.5 GHz, the M5 instances are great for load testing and will deliver 14% better performance than the older M4 instances on a per-core basis.
Our nodes also have Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) support enabled which is a custom network interface optimized to deliver high throughput and packet per second performance. Your floods will benefit from consistently low latencies on EC2 instances and much higher network bandwidth.
For our hosted customers, we’ve also added support for a whopping 96 cores per node.
If you would like to use older or alternate versions of EC2 instance types please consider a hosted account with us. Just speak to our friendly support crew for assistance.
