What was the Challenge?

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday around the corner, there was an impending spike in traffic that needed to be accounted for.  With the potential for daily traffic to increase more than 500% from usual levels, it was critical to prepare for this massive revenue opportunity. Given this is a once a year type of event, it was unknown whether the site would perform as expected during the holiday season. 

What was the Solution?

Man Crates came to Flood almost 2 months in advance to allow proper time to create good test coverage and get feedback early enough to make the needed enhancements to their site.  By using JMeter for their load testing, they were able to test with 10,000+ concurrent users easily.  The feedback from these tests allowed them to tweak their code and infrastructure to be well prepared before the onslaught of holiday shoppers.
